Hyundai Steel to withdraw from stainless steel market
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has decided to withdraw from the stainless steel market amid a flood of Chinese materials and falling sales to its main customers Hyundai Motor and Kia Corporation, Kallanish learns.
The company has recently informed its labour union of the decision. Employees will be transferred to other plants after shutting down the plant in Incheon by the end of this month.
