Hyundai Steel’s quarterly profit tumbles amid sluggish demand
South Korea's Hyundai Steel on Wednesday announced a slump in its third-quarter earnings because of sluggish steel demand during the period, Kallanish learns from its periodic report.
Quarterly sales decreased 12% from Q2 and 10.2% on-year to KRW 6.28 trillion ($4.65 billion) on a consolidated basis as a result of weak demand. This took year-to-date sales to KRW 19.81 trillion, a yearly loss of 7.3%.
