India steel industry praises new budget
India has removed customs duties on iron and steel melting scrap, including stainless scrap, imports till 31 March 2023, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her national budget presentation on Tuesday. The country previously levied a 2.5% duty on stainless steel scrap imports, Kallanish notes.
