India’s August industrial production growth hits 14-month high
The Indian industrial output index surged 10.3% on-year in August, its fastest growth in 14 months, according to a National Statistical Office (NSO) report seen by Kallanish.
According to credit rating agency ICRA, this growth was supported by a favourable base as well as deficient rainfall in August, also led by a broad-based improvement across all sub-sectors and use-based categories.
