Interpipe continues to increase steel output
Ukrainian pipemaker Interpipe increased crude steel production in January-May to 368,200 tonnes, up by 10.6% on-year, Kallanish notes. This accelerated from output growth in January-April of 3.9% on-year.
However, in May alone, the company produced 86,000t of steel, while in April it was 90,000t. This shows that May 2020 output was heavily hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
