Interpipe’s steel output rebounds in August
Ukrainian pipemaker Interpipe increased crude steel production in January-August to 630,000 tonnes, up by 23.1% on-year, Kallanish notes. This accelerated from output growth in January-July of 19.9% on-year.
In August alone, the company produced 95,000t of steel, up from 79,000t in July.
The company’s 2020 output and sales of all products had decreased due to the pandemic, high costs and a decline in demand.
