Iranian billet remains firm amid prioritised domestic supply
Iranian billet export prices are holding at and above $505/tonne fob, despite falling semis values in the Far East, Iran's primary semis export market. Due to ongoing natural gas shortages, Iranian mills are behind their planned production programme and have postponed previously agreed export shipments, notes Kallanish.
