Iranian billet allocations increase on easing gas supply
Iranian billet suppliers have considerably increased their offer allocations in expectation of expanding natural gas and electricity supply after 15 February. This was also experienced last year, as the harsh winter cold makes way for milder temperatures from mid-February, Kallanish observes.
On 28 January, electric arc furnace-route steelmaker SKS (South Kaveh Steel) concluded a March-readiness billet deal at $544/tonne fob Bander Abbas port for 30,000 tonnes.
