Italian HRC market goes quiet amid uncertainty
Italian hot rolled coil prices are flattening amid slower trade due to the imminent Christmas holiday break. Limited transactions are reported this week at stable values compared to last week, Kallanish learns from market participants.
Italian producers are quoting February lead times and asking for €720/tonne ($785) base delivered. Domestic HRC is now being traded at around €700/t base delivered or some €685/t base ex-works on average.
