Italian scrap prices remain stable
Italian scrap prices are stable for the moment, with buyers also expecting on-month stability in February. The market is now quiet with only a few transactions happening at flat values compared to the beginning of January, Kallanish notes.
Scrap availability remains tight due to lower collection rates. Despite slower Turkish import purchases and softer prices, sellers and buyers do not see domestic values decreasing next month.
