LatAm September crude steel production declines
South American and Mexican crude steel production fell month-on-month and was weaker year-on-year in September, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.42 million tonnes in September, down 74,000t m-o-m and 3.7% less compared with 3.55mt in the same period in 2022. Nine-month crude steel production amounted to 30.87mt, a decline of 6.2% compared with January-September 2022.
