Liberty's Czech, Polish plants report strong output, shipments
Liberty Ostrava reported liquid steel production of 2.28 million tonnes in 2021, up 33% on-year and the highest since 2016. This more than mitigated the impact of the huge rise in energy prices, Liberty Steel says. Downstream production rose 29% on-year to 2.16mt.
Czech Republic-based Ostrava’s two blast furnaces produced 1.93mt of hot metal last year, up 35% on-year.
