US long steel imports fall in March
Long steel imports into the US fell to their lowest monthly level this year during March, Kallanish gathers from the latest data collected by the US Department of Commerce.
According to Commerce's data, long steel imports to the US reached 324,969 tonnes during March, with a significant volume of imports coming from Canada (107,805t), Mexico (64,535t) and Algeria (39,980t). Monthly import tonnage to the US fell by 78,349t over the course of March.
