MENA increases billet supply into Turkey in March
Turkey imported 313,452 tonnes of billet in March, down 14% on-year, at an average price of $558/tonne, Kallanish notes from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
This was however up 42% from February imports. While Russia resumed its dominant position as top billet supplier, reclaiming its share from Asian suppliers, there was an increase in the share of supply from the Middle East and North Africa region.
