MENA DRI output inches up in September
Middle East and North Africa countries Libya, Egypt, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Iran's combined direct reduced iron output in September was up 1.6% on-year and 7.7% on August to 4.86 million tonnes, notes Kallanish.
MENA DRI output in January-September inched up 2.7% on-year to 39.4mt. World DRI output in the period was recorded at 87.74mt, up 6.5% on-year, with MENA comprising 44.9%, according to worldsteel data.
