Mexico reviews quota on Ukrainian rod imports
Mexico has initiated an official review into potentially extending for another five years a compensatory quota on imports of iron or non-alloy steel wire rod originating in Ukraine, Kallanish notes.
Mexican companies Ternium México, Deacero, and Talleres y Aceros 2000 have argued the removal of duties would hurt domestic production, it was announced last week in Mexico’s Official Gazette.
