Mexico’s iron ore, pellet output drops in January
Mexican iron ore output decreased in January, as did pellet. First-grade coke production rose compared with December although it was weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía’s (Inegi) latest report, the country produced 688,686 tonnes of iron ore in January. This was 1.1% less than in December and down 29.2% compared with 972,035t in the same period of 2023.…
