Mexico’s November pellet, coke output falls, ore rises
Mexican iron ore output rose month-on-month in November, while pellet and first-grade coke decreased. Steelmaking materials’ production was weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to data from local statistics provider Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), the country produced 684,442 tonnes of iron ore during November. This was 95,350t more on-month but down 11.9% from the same period in 2022.
