Mexico’s January automotive production rises, exports down
Mexico's automotive sector performance began 2024 with a strong production recovery. However, both exports and domestic sales fell sequentially in January, Kallanish learns from a report issued by Asociación Mexicana de la Indústria Automotriz (Amia).
January's output increased by 42.2% month-on-month to 307,069 units. This was also up 9.6% compared with the same period in 2023.
