Mills raise US domestic rebar prices
US mills have raised domestic rebar prices once again this year, nearly two months after the last round of price hikes, Kallanish reports.
According to a Northeast distributor, US rebar producers Commercial Metals Company, Nucor, and Steel Dynamics Inc all rose their respective rebar base prices by $40/short ton.
"Mills have increased their base prices by $40/st following the rise in domestic scrap pricing," the distributor tells Kallanish.
