MMK Metalurji second-quarter sales slump
Turkey-based MMK Metalurji reported a -14.3% on-quarter decline in steel sales in the second quarter to 198,000 tonnes, driven by a -30% drop in polymer-coated steel sales to 39,000t, Kallanish learns from Russian parent MMK.
Galvanized steel sales inched up 0.9% to 149,000t, but sales of hot rolled coil sourced from MMK slumped -65% to 9,000t.
Output of steel rolled from MMK-supplied feedstock rose 22.4% to 187,000t.
