MMK trebles May exports, domestic demand recovering
Russian vertically-integrated steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel (MMK) more than trebled its regular monthly export volumes in May, Kallanish reports.
Last month, the steelmaker sold 350,000 tonnes of steel for export as compared to the 100,000 t/month it usually sells. June export sales have decreased somewhat on-month, as domestic sales increased amid a gradual market recovery.
