Ninggang cooperates with Shougang on new blast furnace
Ningxia Iron & Steel (Ninggang) signed a cooperation with Shougang International Engirneering Technology on 9 August for the construction of a new 1,580-cubic-merre blast furnace, Kallanish notes.
Ninggang owns two sintering machines, three blast furnaces and two converters, with the capability to produce 2 million tonnes/year of steel products. Ninggang intends to upgrade ironmaking facilities to improve efficiency.
