NMDC reports record April output, keeps prices unchanged
Indian state-run miner NMDC increased iron ore production 0.6% and sales 0.9% on-year in April to 3.15 million tonnes and 3.12mt respectively. This was the highest-ever production for April and follows the firm’s 42mt of output in the full fiscal year through March 2022 (FY22).
The miner is targeting annual iron ore production of 50mt in future.
FY22 output was up 23% on-year, while deliveries surged 22% to 40.7mt (see Kallanish passim).
