Nucor begins layoffs in Alabama
Nucor’s planned layoffs at its Eufaula, Alabama, buildings group facility went into effect Thursday, Kallanish reports.
Nucor filed a notice with the state on 16 July warning of the planned layoff of up to 309 employees as part of the restructuring of its American Buildings Co subsidiary.
The company is in the process of shifting the facility’s focus to structural building components and renaming it Nucor Buildings Group Texas-Alabama.&nbs…
