Nucor bumps plate up $40/st
Nucor is rolling out a new plate price hike, effective immediately, Kallanish understands from a customer letter.
The increase pushes as-rolled and continuous A36 pricing to $40/short ton, ex-work works.
The company also notes that it is not currently accepting orders for February.
Market sources told Kallanish early Monday that a price hike was expected in the near future, with an ultimate goal near $900/st.
