Nucor lifts tubulars $100/st
US steel producer Nucor is lifting its tubular base prices by $100/short ton, Kallanish learns from a customer letter.
The increase is effective immediately for all hollow structural sections, pipe, mechanical tube and piling products. Extant orders will be price-protected through 31 December.
Nucor attributes the increase to “...rising raw material costs, strong demand, and volatility of transportation costs.”
