OMK attributes US plant sale to lower demand
United Metallurgical Company (OMK) decided to sell its OMK Tube plant in Texas to South Korea’s SeAH Steel because of reduced sales on lower oil prices, according to OMK President Vladimir Markin.
The deal was announced earlier this week (see Kallanish 1 December).
