OMK expands production with new slitting line
Russia’s United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has launched a new slitting line for coils at its pipe plant in Almetyevsk, a Tatarstan-based branch of its Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, the company says.
Full capacity is more than 125,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. Investment in the project is over RUB 200 million ($2.74 million). The line will handle coils of 4.5-8mm, which were previously ordered from suppliers in finished form, for pipe production.
