OMK supplies heavy plate to United Shipbuilding Corporation
Russian pipemaker United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has supplied heavy plate, including of increased strength, to the United Shipbuilding Corporation, the steelmaker says.
The volume amounted to 8,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. OMK produces shipbuilding steel at mill-5000 at its flagship Vyksa works. The deal involves rolled products from 8-60mm thick, from grade A to grade E40 steel for the construction of two fishing vessels.
