Pakistan mills hike CRC, HDG on rupee devaluation
Pakistan’s flat steel producers have hiked their cold rolled and galvanized coil offers by a further PKR 2,000/tonne ($11) on the back of the rupee devaluation against the dollar. This is the third hike in March, giving a cumulative increase of PKR 10,000/t.
The Pakistani rupee devaluated from PKR 177.57/$1 on 1 March to PKR 181.69/$1 on 22 March, Kallanish notes.
