Pakistan's imported scrap demand continues to be weak
Pakistan's imported scrap demand has remained sluggish even after the conclusion of Ramadan and the Eid festival in early April.
Shredded scrap offers from the EU/UK are hovering at around $425-430/tonne cfr Pakistan, with HMS sheared offers in the range of $410-415/t cfr, notes Kallanish.
Although there was a brief restocking by buyers in mid-April, the market has turned quiet once again in the last two weeks, according to participants.
