Plate buyers expect new US floor in May
US plate buyers expect the next round of increases to hold firm when they go into effect on 1 May, Kallanish reports.
On-week, however, relatively little movement has been seen.
Kallanish maintained its A36 price on Monday at $1,100-1,140/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill. The increase - spearheaded by Nucor - will set $1,140/st as the new floor for pricing negotiations.
