Plate prices in US remain stable

US plate prices for the week of 18 January are holding at $1,460-1,490/short ton, Kallanish reports.
“There has been no movement this week. Nucor is weeks away from full production and has already announced that prices were going sideways for February. Service centres remain cautious and are leery about placing large orders right now. Everything is in a holding pattern,” a plate distributor explains.
