Qarmet eyes increased pipe production with modernisation

The Qarmet steelworks in Kazakhstan, formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau, plans to increase tube production at its Aktau Pipe Plant, the company says. It currently has an annual design capacity of 60,000 tonnes of pipe products and the company plans to increase this to 100,000t alongside the addition of railway tracks into the plant, Kallanish notes.
