Russia continues to decreases steel, pipe output

Russia decreased steel production in February, according to data from domestic analytical company Chermet. The country’s steelmakers produced 5.8 million tonnes of crude steel, down 2.8% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Rolled products output amounted to 5.1mt, which is 0.7% higher versus February 2023.
