Russian automotive production continues to decline in October
Carmakers in Russia continued to decrease output in October, which dropped 64% on-year to 37,000 vehicles. This means January-October production was only 386,000 units, down by 65.7% on-year, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
In September, Russian carmakers produced only 24,000 units, down 77.4% on-year, one of the steepest falls since Covid-19 lockdowns slashed output to 30,000 cars in April 2020 (see Kallanish passim).
