Russia’s October pipe output increases amid steel decline

Russian steelmakers produced 4.47 million tonnes of non-alloy semi-finished steel in October, down by 16% on-year but up 0.9% on-month, according to national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish. In January-October steel production was less by 9.6% on-year at 46.83mt. Russia’s October finished steel output was also down by 16.5% on-year at 1.55mt. However, seamless pipe production in October amounted to 532,590t, up by 22.4% on-year…
