Russia’s stainless steel output increases, outlook positive
Russian production of stainless steel increased in January-May to 49,590 tonnes, up by 27.4% on-year, Kallanish notes from national special steel association USSA.
In particular, output of long products increased by 53.3%, pipe billet by 16.5%, hot rolled coil products by 19.8%, and cold rolled flat products by 8.4%, it says without providing tonnages.
