Russian consumption to decline slower, outlook negative: worldsteel

Worldsteel has revised up its 2023 steel demand forecast for Russia, the CIS countries and Ukraine, in the association’s April short-range outlook seen by Kallanish. According to the association, steel consumption in Russia in 2023 may fall by 5% on-year to 39.6 million tonnes and by 7% to 36.9mt in 2024.
