Sail increases rail production

Steel Authority of India (Sail)’s Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) recorded a 42% on-year growth in 260m long rail in the fiscal year through March 2020 (FY20) to 666,000 tonnes. The firm was until recently the exclusive supplier of rail to Indian Railways, before Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) started supplying rail to the national operator in 2018.
