Sail shipments rise, exports fall on-month in July
Steel Authority of India (Sail) reported 1.58 million tonnes of sales in July, its highest-ever tonnage for that month, an increase of 50% on-year. Exports accounted for 310,000t, up 349%.
This follows June when the firm recorded its highest-ever sales for that month of 1.28mt, while exports also hit a monthly record of 340,000t (see Kallanish passim).
