Sail's exports hit annual record
Steel Authority of India (Sail) says it is fully prepared to cater for the green shoots of steel consumption expected in India post-Covid-19. This follows Sail's crude steel production of 16.15 million tonnes in the fiscal year through March 2020 (FY20).
Sales hit an annual-record of 14.5mt in FY20, up 2.8% on-year, with exports reaching a record 1.18mt, up 54%.
