Shougang halts steel production at subsidiary
Shougang Group's (Shougang) Qinhuangdao Shouqin Metal Material (Shouqin) formally shut down its 4,300mm hot rolled plate mill on 31 May, according to local media. It plans to halt all steel production at the site with a capacity of 2.65 million tonnes/year of iron-making and 3.9m t/y of steelmaking by the end of July.
