Shougang reduces steelmaking capacity for Jingtang Phase II
Hebei's provincial government has recently announced changes in the capacity replacement details of the second phase of the Shougang Jingtang Steelworks Project. The designed steel capacity for Jingtang's Phase II has been changed from 5.1 million tonnes/year to 4m t/y, while its planned iron capacity is unchanged at 4.39m t/y, Kallanish notes.
