Shougang launches first commercial ethanol-from-steelmaking plant
China’s Shougang began production of ethanol from steelmaking waste gases at its Jingtang plant in Hebei in early May. The formal commissioning makes it the first commercial scale plant using LanzaTech’s patented technology in the steel industry, Kallanish notes.
