Simec improves revenue despite weaker second-quarter shipments
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw second-quarter revenue increase sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. Shipments, however, were weaker compared both to the previous quarter and the same period of last year.
The steelmaker’s sales volume totalled 556,000 tonnes in Q2, down 5.7% over Q1 and 19% less compared to a year earlier.
