Stable plate prices continue in US
Plate prices continue to be stable in the US market.
While sheet prices have been falling for months, plate prices continue to hold steady at all-time highs. Kallanish’s A36 plate assessment remains at $1,800-1,850/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill. Mill lead times are reported in the 4-6 week range.
The market is expecting an announcement any day now on pricing from domestic mills, but none had been made as of Wednesday’s deadline.
