US stainless surcharges to drop in December
Surcharges for representative grades of stainless steel coil are set to fall in December, Kallanish learns from updated company price lists.
Based on information from AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies Inc, Outokumpu, and North American Stainless, type 304 austenitic stainless steel coil surcharges will decrease from about $0.41/pound in November to $0.39/lb in December. Likewise, type 316 coil surcharges will fall from $0.51/lb to $0.47/lb.
