Taiwanese scrap prices return to downtrend

The Taiwanese scrap market is back to a downtrend this week, with import offers falling and buyers reducing purchasing. Containerised US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 is now offered at $365/tonne cfr Taiwan, down by $5/t from the previous week. US suppliers are no longer sticking to their prices as they did last week, showing less confidence in the market.
